{appropriate greetings}

I enquired of a friend as to what an appropriate greeting for (USA) Memorial Day might be.

I felt ‘Happy Memorial Day’ might be a tad insensitive.

She offered ‘Have a safe memorial day’.

I thought of   ‘now we/you can wear white:pants shoes etc’

I came across these words on the Facebook page of the artist Greg Olsen.

Be wise enough to learn from yesterday and brave enough to forge a better tomorrow!

Have a meaningful Memorial Day!

I can’t post his painting (copyrighted) he made to represent this

but if you are on Facebook then just search for him.
