Dust Storm Memory

When I was in my early teens we had a blue car, not like this one in design but similar blue.

The parents took it into their heads to  drive from Melbourne to Sydney on a different route.  (This was the annual Melb-Syd to see the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race Start on Boxing Day trip)

Somehow we ended up in Wagga Wagga. (that’s not a typo it really is the same word twice)

we stayed in the town. In the morning, the car parked outside our motel room, now looked  orange.

not blue at all.

It was amazing!

I’d never seen anything like it.
