We are deep in the heart of winter but someone forgot to tell the weather that,

and we have in South East Queensland (Australia) have had a mid winter heatawave. (temperature records have been broken)

Look what I found outside: A SURPRISE INDEED.

green shoots and not the financial-recovery kind, on a tree that ought still to be waiting for spring

but the mini heat wave has tricked it. That is the Surprise.

    Wow, we are deep in the heart of summer, although its been a bit cool as of late, neat pic!

  2. Hope the plant doesn’t go into shock when the winter weather returns!!! We had hot weather down here in Adelaide a couple of weeks ago, but are back to normal now.

  7. Oh, is that a Bonsai? We had one, but didn’t know how to care for it properly.

    Yes! Our plants in Victoria think Spring has sprung! Blossoming trees are everywhere! Just hope our heavy winds don’t undo all the early growth!
